Why Solar Screens?

Solar screens are mainly designed to stop the suns rays and heat from penetrating your windows. Regular standard window screens don’t offer any protection from the sun’s heat or damaging rays. Solar window screens also offer the added benefit of keeping annoying bugs out of your home or business when the weather is nice and allows you to open your windows.

Like regular window screens, solar window screens will cover the outside of your window and actually replace your regular window screens. Solar screens will make your windows look darker from the outside, but will maintain outward visibility. The effect is somewhat like looking through sunglasses.

In addition to the heat protection solar window shades provide they also help protect your drapes, carpet, paintings and furniture from harmful UV rays that will cause fading.

The 4 Grades Of Solar Windows Screens

Action Screens offers 4 grades of solar window screens. They are 60%, 70%, 80% and 90% protection. The percentages refer to the amount of rays that each solar screen will reflect, absorb and help dissipate before it penetrates the window.
